RECENT NEWS:

Storm Drain Collapse Repair - On Monday, August 18, 2008, DeWitt City Council hired Cook Bros. Excavating Inc. of Portland to repair the storm water drain outfall that collapsed into the Looking Glass River on July 11th, 2008. more>>


The final MDEQ staff report (pdf, 540kb) -
the result of the FLG's 319 grant study on the
upper Looking Glass River last year!


The City of DeWitt / The Riverside Park bank stabilization project design by Ann Arbor based JFNew, has been finalized and submitted for the MDEQ permit. Pending permit approvals, construction is hoped to get under way during the end of September. more>> (updated - 8-20-2008)

Introduction:

The Friends of the Looking Glass is a local, nonprofit, river action group that centers its efforts around the Looking Glass River Watershed.

Our mission is to promote the enjoyment of and responsibility for the river and to maintain and improve the watershed.
